Madonna: Like a virgin.

It is not a total random choice of video, my blog will get a new start next week so I am almost feeling like a blogvirgin. This will be my (second) last post here on blogspot, then I will be part of something bigger and a new fashionhome. This new thing means I will write in norwegian only (I am actually looking forward to that) but I hope all my foreign readers will still check in if not just to look at pictures.

I will post a link when the site is up!

FRIDAY FLICK

No video to this track, but this is my theme song for this weekend. It is going on and on and on in my head. Every minute, all day. I love it!

Surkin: And you too

FRIDAY FLICK

The song is ok (nice), but this video is just genious! I do not know if I want to cry or smile (or both).

Moby: In This World

This has been one of my favourite tracks this spring. So feelgood!

LATE FRIDAY FLICK

Since I have been so lazy (or busy might be the best word) I will post two videoes for you. I think this will be my summer soundtrack. Been listening to it for some time now, and I never get tired of it. I do not know how to label this music, all I can say is that this is from a time when the term "indie" actually ment something. Both songs from the amazing album Heaven or Las Vegas.

Cocteau Twins: Heaven or Las Vegas

Cocteau Twins: Iceblink Luck

FRIDAY FLICKS

As I often say in this post: This song is great!
Hoping to catch his consert tomorrow here in Bergen, the last album, Sexuality, is very good. It is actually my favourite atm.

Sebastien Tellier: Sexual Sportswear.

Everything is cool about this video, and I have always loved this song.

Salt N Pepa: Push it.

FRIDAY FLICK

How classic can something be? This is def a very classic song, from a classic artist featuring a classic look. Classic!

Young MC: Bust a move

FRIDAY FLICK

It is 1999 in Bergen, I go to Miles Ahead, Agora and Café Opera every weekend to dance my ass off, and this was my favourite clubtrack for a long long time.
Ultra classic house track: Cunnie Williams: Saturday.

FRIDAY FLICK

Maybe the best track of 2007 and still great in 2008. Love love love it, how uplifting can a song be? Makes me want to dance all night long, something I will tonigh at Black Devil Disco Club at Digitalo. Will try to take some pix, so Bergen: dress up!

Puzique: Don´t go (do not think this is the official video, but put on you headphones and turn up!)

FRIDAY FLICK

Even though this video is from 1982, it gives me a strong 90s feeling. Love the look: tribal, saphari hat, mohawk hair. It has somewhat a cyberpunk vibe. Boy George was actually the first singer in this band created by Malcolm McLaren, but they got big with Annabelle Lwin (only 13 years old at the time) as lead singer.
Bow Wow Wow: I want candy.

FRIDAY FLICK

Not exactly hip house, but definitely house. One of the first and most classic house track: Steve "Silk" Hurley: "Jack your body" (not sure if this is the original video, if there was ever made one).

Bonus flick:

A version of Bizarre Inc´s "I´m gonna get you" performed by Britney Spears on Mickey Mouse Club. So funny, cool 90s outfit (and I actually really hope Britney can get her act together).

FRIDAY FLICK ON A SATURDAY (I MUST BE CRAZY!)

This song reminds me so of the summer of 2007, and especially when in London in june. It became somewhat of a theme song on the trip, and we ended up listening to it from outside of the tent where Klaxons played live at Wireless festival. Summer memories, I need those now.

Klaxons: Golden Skans

FRIDAY FLICK

Another one of my "I really loved this song when I was 13"-video.
Crystal Waters: Gypsy Woman. Still sounds great!

FRIDAY FLICK

Not a band I listen much to, but this video from Kent is great. And the song is good too. Tonight going to Digitalo at Strædet for the first time, but first: Kent with Ingenting.

FRIDAY FLICK

The ultimate party song! I love this, and you should also check out the Diana Ross "I`m coming out" that they have sampled. One of the most perfect pop/disco tracks ever.
Hype Williams rules btw. This video features all his signatures: gloss on gloss, more is more, tunnels, strong colours, shiny shine and so on.

The Notorious B.I.G. - Mo' Money, Mo' Problems

FRIDAY FLICK

Madonna is now a member of the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame, celebrating 25 years since she released this single, Everybody.
The look is very mellow, this is before the glam and the new romantics of the 80s. Loving the song, still feels modern today.
Madonna: Everybody.
